A note on the images: The top 3 are false-color composites using a combination of Keck and VLT optical and infrared data (instrumental K,J,R bands producing the RGB color). So the colors of stars and galaxies are not "real" but they are "representative". The bottom 2 are from the monochromatic Keck (I band) images, rendered as a false color and as a plain B&W.
