Title: "Circumnuclear Gas in AGN and Starbursts"
Abstract:
The energy output from the most luminous galaxies are explained by either
accretion onto a super massive black hole or immense star formation. Both
models require large gas masses to be transported to the central regions,
where it is likely to form disk or ring structures. By studying nuclear
gas we can hope to achieve information about fueling mechanisms and
nuclear gas dynamics. I will give a short overview of what we have learned
so far by high resolution studies of circumnuclear gas in AGN and
starbursts.
