Spiral Galaxy NGC 2770 with 2 Supernovae

The image above shows the spiral galaxy known as NGC 2770 with 2 supernovae (circled). NGC 2770, found in the constellation Lynx, is located approximately 90 million light years from our galaxy, the Milky Way.

The image was taken with Palomar's 60-inch telescope and processed by Arne Rau (Caltech).
