Monitoring the observations

In the course of the observation of a data cube, which may last several hours, a number of specific items should be monitored. These include the focus of the telescope, the stability of the etalon, and the sky conditions. There is a second terminal available in each telescope dome, which may be used to examine files as the cube progresses, abort frames, etc. You should not abort a sequence, i.e., with a ctrl-C command, unless it is absolutely necessary. If you must abort the sequence, you may need the secdel and ready commands to reset the CCD system.
