Initialization

fpstart
Initialize the Fabry-Perot. This command causes the computer to assume control of the CS-100 Fabry-Perot controller. It is usually run from the @fpsetup script. Executing this program should activate the red ``disabled'' indicator on the CS-100 Fabry-Perot controller (see Figure 11). fpstart may produce a small number of errors related to VMS privileges; these may be ignored.

@fpsetup
Initialize the Fabry-Perot, filter wheel, and other useful definitions. This command is almost always executed at the beginning of an observing run. It performs the fpstart and fzero or f9whinit commands, and also sets a number of logical defines, such as the cdfp and cdscr aliases. @fpsetup also makes several of the programs in sys:[ccd.fp], such as fpseq, accessible globally.
