FIGARO commands

figaro
Load the FIGARO package. This command is run during initialization, but may occasionally be run manually, for example, when logging into the Microvax on a second terminal.

image <image>
Display an image on the graphics display. This is an interactive command, which will allow the user to adjust the image scaling, clipping, and binning, before displaying the image. The program will then present the user with an interactive cursor for image examination.

icur
Restart the interactive cursor, using the image currently displayed.

istat <image>
Compute statistics on an image.

[iadd | isub | imul | idiv] <image1> <image2 | constant> <image3>
Perform image arithmetic. Two images, or an image and a constant, are combined to produce an image, using the specified operator. This function is useful for quick-look bias subtraction, flatfielding, etc.

splot <spectrum>
Plot a 1-dimensional spectrum.

colour grey
Reset the graphics display terminal for greyscale image display output. This command is often necessary after using line graphics.

@ringcheck <image>
Extract a section from a calibration ring image and plot a cut through a prominent ring. This script is very useful when focusing the camera lens, in order to determine which of several focus images contains the sharpest ring profiles.

@fig <command>
Script program for re-compiling a FIGARO command, such as snvfits.
