An expanding cloud of debris from an supernova explosion produces a nebula known as a supernova remant.


This movie of images from the Hubble Space Telescope shows gases streaming outward from the heart of the Crab Nebula supernova remnant. The movie covers 9 months of observationa and is looped, much like weather satellite images.
