Spiral Galaxy NGC 7331

 

The spiral galaxy known as NGC 7331 is located in the constellation of Andromeda at a distance of about 46 million light years from our Milky Way galaxy. Several companion or background galaxies can be seen to the left of MGC 7331.

 

This image is a composite of images taken with the Palomar Observatory's 48-inch Samuel Oschin Telescope as a part of the Second Palomar Observatory Sky Survey.
