Uranus with Adaptive Optics

Uranus is the solar system's seventh planet from the Sun.

This false-color near-infrared image shows Uranus, its system of rings and its five largest satellites. It was taken with 200-inch Hale telescope and the JPL/Cornell adaptive optics system. The adaptive optics system removes the blurring of our atmosphere allowing sharper images to be produced.
