2005 Events for the
Friends of Palomar Observatory
On October 29, 2005 Caltech's Michael E. Brown gave a super talk to the Friends on the his discovery of what
may be our solar system's 10th planet and his research on the Kuiper Belt.

On October 22, 2005 the Friends were treated to a tour of the 200-inch Hale Telescope and perfect skies for
the viewing of Mars and other objects through Palomar's 60-inch telescope.
Robin and Todd Mason presented "Palomar's 200-inch Telescope: The Impossible Challenge" on September 24, 2005.
They gave the Friends a preview of their upcoming television documentary "The Journey to Palomar."
Their talk was followed by viewing through Palomar's 60-inch telescope.
