Past Events for 2010

On Saturday, May 1 from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. Friends of Palomar Observatory members enjoyed a tour of the 200-inch Hale Telescope followed by viewing through the 60-inch telescope on what proved to be a very chilly night.

On Saturday, June 5 TMT scientist Tony Travouillon presented "Quest for the Best: Astronomy's Window on the Universe", a talk on the site selection for the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT).

The talk was followed by views of night sky through some amateur telescopes.

On Saturday, June 26th Friends of Palomar Observatory members enjoyed viewing through the 60-inch telescope under clear skies.

On Saturday July 24 Friends of Palomar Observatory members enjoyed a tour of the 200-inch Hale Telescope followed by viewing through the 60-inch telescope.

On Saturday, August 28 Friends of Palomar Observatory members enjoyed a tour of the 200-inch Hale Telescope followed by viewing through the 60-inch telescope.

On Saturday, October 08 Friends of Palomar Observatory members enjoyed a tour of the 200-inch Hale Telescope followed by viewing through the 60-inch telescope.
