I am a unix user and a particular sender's e-mail frequently seems to get incorrectly tagged as Spam. You can put that sender's e-mail in your whitelist.
In doing so, you are telling spamassassin that these e-mails are
OK. Edit your ~/.spamassassin/user_prefs file with lines like
these:
I am a unix user and spamassassin tags far too many of my valid e-mail as spam. You can turn down the sensitivity of spamassassin by playing with the "required_hits" variable. This will also have the effect of catching fewer real SPAMS. The default value of this variable is 6 as seen in the header line:X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=27.9 required=6.0Edit your ~/.spamassassin/user_prefs file and add a line like this:required_hits 8.0
