| 28 Aug 2004: | Trying to figure out a way to get image histograms and store them as 8-bit images since
my camera does not have the histogramming ability. imagemagick allows me to generate the histograms, but it utputs it in 24-bit mode (even when I use the -depth 8 option): convert foo.jpg foo.histogram;convert foo.histogram -depth 8 hfoo.jpg I can save them as 8-bit in xv, but I want to automate the procedure. Okay, the following works: convert foo.jpg foo.histogram convert foo.histogram foo.xbm convert foo.xbm hfoo.jpg |
