|2008-10-26||25th Love Ride
On my way to Anaheim Hills this morning, as I got on to 210 E, I saw several motorbikes. Not unusual for a beautiful Sunday morning. But they kept coming, occupying two entire lanes and spilling over to more. This was the annual love ride celebrating its silver jubilee resulting in gathering 25K motorcyclists going from Glendale to Pomona fairgrounds for a cause. Another of those SoCal things ...
It rained today to provide Pasadena a much needed respite from the resoaring temperatures. Was out on an errand when I approached the bridge over 210 on Wilson, saw each of the several poles on either side of the road covered with several pigeons. I have seen pigeons occupying poles in this region before, but not so many.
Long back when we were in Parbhani, we would make trips to Nagpur. It would take 12 hours to cover that distance of 360 miles. En route we would cross several buses traveling between points A and B as well as the counterpart of our bus as well as its night time counterpart. That would make me wonder how many such buses are on the way i.e. moving on the road, and not visible to us.
Seeing all those sitting pigeons I wondered if the rain had made a recall on pigeons on wing and thats why I saw so many.
