This SN was discovered by LOSS
<a href="http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iauc/08400/08443.html#item2"> 
(IAUC 8443)</a> on November 17, 2004, and absent on Novenber 14, 2004, 
so discovered rather young. Also, reported to be rising.<br> 
<br>
The host galaxy 
<a href="http://nedwww.ipac.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/nph-objsearch?objname=ugc+3555&extend=no&out_csys=Equatorial&out_equinox=J2000.0&obj_sort=RA+or+Longitude&of=pre_text&zv_breaker=30000.0&list_limit=5&img_stamp=YES">UGC 3555</a> 
is at z=0.016128 (NED).<br>

Early photometry by Li et al. may indicate type Ib/c. Later confirmed
by Keck spectroscopy by Filippenko et al.
