I am a post-doctoral scholar at Caltech Astronomy Department, currently working within the Palomar Transient Factory (PTF) Collaboration. My research interest is the structure, substructure, kinematics, and chemical composition of the Galactic halo and of the Galaxy in general. Stellar tracers, such as main-sequence and RR Lyrae stars, are the tools I frequently use to map the Galaxy and I spend a lot of time selecting these from wide-area astronomical surveys such as SDSS, LINEAR, and PTF.
