I am an Einstein Fellow at the California Institute of Techonology working with Shri Kulkarni's group. I am interested in, and have conducted active research on, a broad range of astrophysical topics including the transient sky, gravitational lensing, and recently I become interested in aspects related to the solar system's cometary reservoirs, and their implications to the formation of the solar system.
In the context of the transient sky I am interested mainly in high-energy phenomena (e.g., SGRs and radio transients ) and I am involved with the Palomar Transient Factory (PTF) - a project aimed at systematically exploring the optical sky for transients .
My solar system research is focused on detection, and measuring the properties of the solar system's cometary reservoirs using stellar occultations .
