Figure Caption:


A comparison of the images of the gamma-ray burst field, as its brightness
in the visible light was still rising.  The images were obtaines at the 
Palomar 200-inch telescope.  The image on the left was taken on May 9, and 
the image on the right on May 10, 1997.  The optical counterpart is marked 
with the arrows.
