One of several panoramas at a popular lookout (I just can't remember which).
May be Bright Angel point, close to the Lodge.
Again, I can't remember where we were when we took these 2 rows of pictures.
Some overlook. (or several)
On the Cliff Spring Trail (takes you down about a mile into the canyon to
a "spring", which is an invisible water source underneath a boulder!)
I think these are all from Point Imperial (highest point in the
Park). One picture obviously is (Sean's by the sign), anyway.
Looking to the Kaibab Plateau, Pink Cliffs in the distance. I think
the layered black and red rocks are Precambrian-period formations.
Below (3 rows) are pictures from Cape Royal (Farthest Point on North Rim
you can go to, closest you can get to Colorado River)
1st: View of the Colorado River (the red thing in the middle), close to the
Unkar Delta (where Native Americans farmed in
ancient times, during the summer--you know, river delta=fertile soil and
all that). Pictures 2-4 are various views.
1st: This may actually be from Point Imperial. 3rd: Sean's Christmas Tree.
4th: Angel's Window (you can see the river through the "window").
"Wedding Chapel" at Cape Royal (I think). People actually get married
here.
