Micol Christopher's Webpage

Hi!  Welcome to my world on the web!   I'm in the sixth year of a Ph.D. program in the astronomy department at Caltech, planning to graduate this summer!     My thesis work is on the formation of young, massive star clusters in merging galaxies.      Both in my time at Caltech and as an undergraduate at Harvard University,  I have been very active and passionate about teaching and public outreach, and I would like ultimately to teach at in a liberal arts/small research school setting.   To build up additional experience in teaching, I am planning to teach at the community college/four-year school level in the Los Angeles area for a year starting in Fall 2005 before applying for postdocs for Fall 2006 that have a combined research and education focus!
