In May 2007, we had 4 nights of observing with LRIS on Keck I. Juna Kollmeier and I took the trip up to the summit, and we got an unique tour of the telescope. We had a chance to meet all the hard working people that make the observing possible. If you ever have a chance, don’t miss to stay for the sunset on the 4200m summit. It is remarkable.
