Two kinds of (people, ideas, ...)
Inspired by a NY Times piece ("Let’s Become More Divided"; 30 January
2021) I gave some thought (under a Cabernet "buzz").
- There are two kinds of people: those who are rationale and those
who are religious. The two are not compatible. Religion places faith as
the starting point and faith cannot be reasoned out. This explains the
proliferation of religions. Rationality's best manifestations is
science (natural phenomena) and mathematics. Both require consistency
from the top of the tree to the roots.
- There are two kinds of people: people who love animals and people
who do not. At the root of this is the belief held by some (the
surpremacy of humans) and others (supremacy of life).
- There are two kinds of people: those who take themselves
seriously and those who do not. By and large the former group lack
sense of humor.
- There are two kinds of people: those who believe that there are
two kinds of people and those who do not.
