Welcome!

I am a graduate student in Physics at the California Institute of Technology. My general interests are in the nature of dark energy and the formation of large scale structure in the Universe. My research has focused on combining multi-wavelength observations of galaxy clusters to constrain the distribution of dark and baryonic matter in these objects, so that they might be used as more precise cosmological probes. I am also interested in astronomical instrumentation, and developing technologies that enable the measurements necessary to make progress on the aforementioned topics. I worked on the development and characterization of the Multiwavelength Sub/millimeter Inductance Camera (MUSIC), an instrument at the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory that uses a relatively new type of superconducting detector. I plan to defend my thesis in July of 2015.
