About me

I am a postdoc in Astronomy at Caltech and UC Santa Barbara, working on the Palomar Transient Factory (PTF) project. I am interested in the identification and classification of variable sources, and how they help us better understand stellar evolution. Recently I have been focused on variable stars and background quasars in/behind the Andromeda galaxy. I also work on the optical search and identification of ablated companions of Fermi millisecond pulsars.

My thesis was on long-term and extreme variability of stars with the Digital Access to a Sky Century@Harvard (DASCH) project.
