Syntax: asc2fits  (ASCII file)  [FITS file]
                         [nc=]  [nr=]  [-quiet]

  Convert '.asc' format file to FITS file image.
  If no FITS file given, replace '.asc' with '.fits' or
    append '.fits'
  In header END card must be trailed by at least four spaces.
  If no header is found, a 2-D header is formed using nc= 
    (number of columns) and nr= (number of rows) options.
  In data region, must have columns then rows (i.e. column
    is the fastest changing axis.)
