CBI site from Cerro Toco

A view of the CBI site (the Llano de Chajnantor) from Cerro Toco, looking south. The small cone in the foreground is Cerro Chico. The dome of the CBI is visible as a white dot to the left of Cerro Chico, below the ridge of Cordón Honar (click on the image to view it at full resolution). Several volcanoes are visible behind Cordón Honar, including the crater of active Volcán Lascar, with a plume of smoke stretching to the west (right).
