I am a graduate student at Caltech, working with Chris Martin. I am interested in galaxy formation and evolution; one of my projects aims to study the gas kinematics of supercompact UV-luminous galaxies, which are amongst the most star forming objects in the low-redshift universe, and which physically resemble high-z Lyman Break Galaxies. I also study the evolution of green valley galaxies, which are thought to be transitioning from blue spirals towards becoming passively evolving ellipticals.
