Riccardo de Salvo (Caltech)
"The Physics of Interferometric Gravitational Wave Observatories" I will describe the physics underlying the present and future ground based Interferometric Gravitational Wave Observatories, searching for astrophysical events. I will list the possible capabilities, frequency sensibility regions and detection ranges. Then we will discuss, around the tea table, what GW Observatories can do for Astronomy, and what Astronomy can do for GW Observatories. |
