Public Computers
We maintain a couple of Linux machines in Cahill 249 as a public computer room, as well as in Cahill 235 (the Astronomy visitor office). You must have a Astronomy computing account to access these machines. An account can be requested here.
We also have a public Windows machine (taurus.caltech.edu) and a public Mac (auriga.caltech.edu) in Cahill 249. These machines are primarily used to print posters to the large format printer. Each of these machines has a guest account; please contact help [@] astro.caltech.edu for the current password.
There is a flatbed scanner attached to the public Mac. For more information on how to use the scanner, please see Using the scanner.
